PDF SEO - Meta title, Meta description and Noindex tag

Hey,

I come across an old forum posting where the OP mentioned how the PDF version of their article are always ranked higher than their web version of the same article.

Many folks chipped in and concluded that, somehow a lot of people out there likes linking to PDF than the web content (which is surprising), and this raised the PDF's backlink profile.

Regardless if PDF SEO is something that concerns you, people are going to spot you on Google search result page.

And if your PDF doesn't have a proper meta title and description, its appearance on the result page could look awful.

This is why we decided to launch some basic SEO features for our title.is PDF page.

Meta Title & Meta Description

Google displays these metadata in their search result page.

Now when you upload PDF files to Titlegram, we would automatically check the PDF file for these metadata and populate them for you. If you want to further improve them, it can be easily done in Titlegram.

The best thing is, you don't have to change a thing about the PDF link, or reupload the file, as any updates is directly reflected in the title.is PDF page immediately.

Discourage Search Engine from Crawling Your PDF

When you upload a bare PDF file, there is no way to directly discourage or block search engine's crawlbot to locate your PDF file and show them in the search result page.

We want to make sure all our customers have this option when you trust us with your PDF files.

To discourage search engine from crawling your PDF, now all you have to do is to turn on the "Discourage search engine from indexing this file" toggle in Titlegram, and we will update your title.is page to reflect that decision - which most search engine would honour.

These are quick fix that we feel like could make a big impact to our customers.

Love to hear if you find these helpful :)

Cheers,
